If you are a new resident to PEI from any other province or country, you should immediately apply for a PEI Health Card. A PEI Health Card is necessary to receive publicly funded health services. You can apply for a PEI Health Card for each member of your household, providing you are all legally in Canada and PEI is your primary residence for at least six months plus a day each year.
