Canadian Mental Health Organization

The Canadian Mental Health Organization (CMHA) administers three different housing programs. 

Housing First – a federally funded program that helps people find an affordable place to live and offers support to tackle the root of what’s causing the problem. 

Housing Outreach – a recovery-oriented approach to ending homelessness that centers on quickly moving people experiencing homelessness into independent and permanent housing. 

Transitional Housing – assists individuals with mental health and/or addictions to move towards being independent increasing the likelihood of housing stability within the community.

Habitat for Humanity PEI

Habitat for Humanity PEI is a non-profit organization working towards an Island where everyone has an opportunity to live in a safe, decent and affordable home. With the help of generous volunteers, the organization has provided 72 families with safe, decent and affordable housing throughout Prince Edward Island.  Habitat for Humanity PEI is one of 54 affiliates of Habitat for Humanity Canada.
