Non-Profits
Non-Profits
There are many non-profit organizations throughout PEI. Non-profit organizations are associations, clubs, or societies that are not charities and are organized and operated exclusively for social welfare, civic improvement, pleasure, recreation, or any other purpose except profit. Non-profits can be social groups, recreational groups, hobby groups, amateur sport organizations, festival and event organizations, and more. Because non-profits are so varied and provide many different supports or opportunities, many of them are listed throughout this website. Some non-profits are fantastic resources depending on the type of information you are looking for, and most of them are excellent ways to get involved in your community.
If you are interested in learning more about getting involved with a non-profit organization on PEI, please explore Volunteer PEI’s website and directory of Prince Edward Island Non-profit organizations (https://volunteerpei.ca/nonprofit-organizations/). If you are already involved with a non-profit group and would like information on items related to non-profits such as funding, assistance programs, and other useful information, please explore the Province of Prince Edward Islands non-profit group website (https://www.princeedwardisland.ca/en/topic/non-profit-groups).
For all other information, search for non-profits that interest you and reach out directly to that non-profit, or contact your local Community Navigator.
