Canadian Mental Health Organization

The Canadian Mental Health Organization (CMHA) administers three different housing programs. 

Housing First – a federally funded program that helps people find an affordable place to live and offers support to tackle the root of what’s causing the problem. 

Housing Outreach – a recovery-oriented approach to ending homelessness that centers on quickly moving people experiencing homelessness into independent and permanent housing. 

Transitional Housing – assists individuals with mental health and/or addictions to move towards being independent increasing the likelihood of housing stability within the community.
