Community Business Development Corporations (CBDC) assist in the creation of small businesses and in the expansion and modernization of existing businesses by providing financial and technical services to entrepreneurs. There are three CBDCs in PEI, CBDC Central Prince Edward Island, CBDC PEI East, and CBDC West Prince Ventures Ltd. Each CBDC covers a different geographic region of PEI.
